Deciding what to wear for a photo session doesn’t have to be an intimidating task! Here are tips to help coordinate your family outfits:
Strive to coordinate, not match.
Any way that your family can complement each other — in style or color — can really pull a portrait together. Choose a color scheme then mix and match colors so everyone coordinates. Sometimes it’s helpful to choose one piece (your favorite blue sweater) and build around it. Use your brightest color (accent color) sparingly.
Layers create texture and visual interest in your portraits. For fall, think cozy scarves, cardigans, tights or leggings, and boots. Even a tee shirt under a boy’s button down adds interest.
Don’t forget accessories!
Colorful scarves, hats, headbands, and necklaces can be a great way to add texture and personality.
